Cinematic, inclusive photography in Hamilton—by Captured by Caro. I create vibrant, story-forward images for people who want to feel like themselves in front of the camera. My style is candid, creative, and a little ethereal: like a still from a film, but rooted in real connection. Whether you’re celebrating love, launching a brand, documenting a milestone, or simply want to be seen, you deserve photos that feel honest, gorgeous, and alive.

I’m proud to offer a space that’s welcoming for 2SLGBTQIA+ folks, newcomers, neurospicy babes, shy humans, kinky folks, and anyone who’s ever felt awkward about photos. You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to show up a certain way. You just need to arrive as you are.
My job is to create a calm, playful environment where you feel safe and respected. That’s where the magic happens! We’ll talk boundaries, comfort levels, and what you want your photos to say about you. I’ll guide you gently when you need it, and step back when the real moments start unfolding.

What types of photography do you offer?
I photograph people and their stories. From branding and headshots to boudoir, lifestyle, and events, each session highlights a different facet of who you are. I help you explore and capture that energy on camera in a way that feels authentic and true to you!
What makes Captured by Caro different?
With so many photographers to choose from, the most important factor is how you connect with them. Trust your gut: if you feel a safe, warm connection, that matters. You’re trusting this person with your image and your memories. My goal is to provide everything you need to feel comfortable and fully ‘you’.
Do you travel outside Hamilton for photoshoots?
I sure do! I’ve been a bit nomadic throughout my life, so I jump at opportunities to hit the road and explore. I’m based in Hamilton, Ontario and regularly travel across Southern Ontario for photoshoots. Travel rates are listed on my Offerings page, and for anything further afield, I’m happy to create a custom package.
How do I book a photoshoot with you?
Just reach out and we’ll start with a quick chat. You can submit a request through my contact page or email/text me directly. From there, I’ll set up a free consultation call so we can talk through your ideas and vision. I can’t wait to hear what you have in mind.
Do you help with posing if I’m awkward?
100%, yes! Posing is just another skill that can be taught. No one is inherently “photogenic”. I’ll guide you the entire time so you never feel unsure of what to do. We start by grounding and creating a safe space where you can relax, explore, and play.
Are you 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly / inclusive?
Yes, always. As a neurodivergent, queer and proudly quirky human, it’s an honour to hold space for people of all identities. I offer an inclusive, 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly photography experience where you can show up as your authentic self. In front of my lens, there is no place for hate. I shoot with compassion, curiosity, and respect.
Do you photograph plus-size / diverse bodies?
Every body has a story worth telling, and everybody has feelings about how they look. That’s part of being human. I work with people of all body types, identities, and backgrounds, and we collaborate ahead of your shoot to understand your comfort levels, boundaries, and how you want to be seen.

I’m a Hamilton, Ontario, girlie and I regularly shoot in Dundas, Ancaster, Burlington, Niagara, Guelph, Toronto, and everywhere in between. Born and raised in this vibrant, gritty and personality-packed city, I've wandered the globe and still regularly like to spread my wings and fly. That's why I’m also happy to travel further for special projects and weddings — tell me what you’re dreaming up, and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
If you have a location that matters to you (a neighbourhood, a trail, the place you met, your favourite bar, a studio, your home), we can build the session around that. And if you’d rather not pick a location at all? I can recommend spots based on the season, lighting, privacy, accessibility, and vibe.
